The first step in designing a web page is to sit down and draw out at map or flowchart of what your completed site will look like. There are too many web sites that are confusing to browse and that have no structure. If you sit down for a bit and map out your page into sections, it will be a lot easier for someone else to browse your site. It also helps if later you decide to add a few pages to your site, you will know exactly where to place them. If you draw out a diagram of your site like this one, you will be able to better organize your information.
